Common cargo transportation refers to the cargo that can be transported without special requirements in the course of transportation, loading and unloading and storage without special means or means.

Common cargo transportation should choose different modes of transportation according to actual needs, including vehicle transportation, part-load cargo transportation and container transportation in form.

1. Cargo transportation

Vehicle transportation is suitable for door-to-door transportation of large batches of common goods with complex varieties. Its production mode is simple, flexible, less investment and quick effect. It is a common direct transportation mode for road freight transportation in China. Owing to the general use of open-end trucks in vehicle transportation, it has a wide range of applications.

Vehicle cargo transportation is the beginning of the conclusion and performance of transport contracts. With the opening of transport market, the methods of acceptance are flexible and varied. The main methods are: the opening of transport market and the flexible methods of acceptance.

(1) Signing a contract of carriage j, striving for the incorporation of the cargo owner into the contract of carriage, and transporting the goods according to the contract of carriage between the two parties.

(2) Door-to-door acceptance. Group cargo business personnel come to the owner's unit to handle the cargo consignment acceptance.

(3) On-site acceptance. A temporary consignment acceptance office shall be set up at the cargo distribution center to handle the acceptance business on the spot.

(4) Station acceptance. In busy commercial areas, large factories and mining enterprises, cargo distribution centers (stations, wharfs, ports), large construction sites and other places to accept.

(5) Acceptance of telephone calls and letters. The carrier shall consign the goods by telephone, fax or letter to the local or foreign cargo owner units and fill in the shipping documents on behalf of them. [2]

2. Partial Load Cargo Transportation

Carefully organize the balanced allocation of light and heavy, large and small goods, make full use of the space of the carriage and load to match the full load skillfully, and strictly implement the provisions on the restrictions of cargo mixing. The name, number of parts and arrival of the stowage cargo are in accordance with the contents of the cargo waybill and the delivery list of the accompanying passengers. The actual quality of the cargo does not exceed the approved tonnage of the carrying vehicle.

When loading, the driver of the carrier vehicle shall check and supervise the loading with the tallyman. Loading and stowage requirements of workers: direct loading first, transfer after loading, light and heavy overlapping, heavy and not light, big and not small, solid and not empty, sign outward, arrow upward. When unloading, the driver of the carrier vehicle will check and unload with the tallyman, recite the arrival station name and the number of goods in batches, guide the workers to handle lightly, and enter the warehouse and palletize according to the flow direction.

3. Container Transportation

Container transportation is an advanced modern form of transportation, but the conditions must be met to carry out container transportation.

(1) It has relatively centralized, stable and sufficient supply of goods. Only in this way can we ensure the utilization rate of container loading quality and volume and give full play to the transport characteristics of containers.

(2) It has relevant equipment to satisfy all links of the transportation process, such as containers, container trucks, etc.

(3) It has a sound organizational structure and a strict management system.

(4) It has road transportation conditions and convenient and rapid ways and measures of changing and loading among various modes of transportation.

(5) With the level of industrial production, the packaging of goods should be standardized and serialized in order to make full use of the container's carrying capacity.
